The Myvi is a success story for its maker, Perusahaan Otomobil Kedua or better known as Perodua since the very first day of its launch. Sales were brisk then, and if I am not mistaken, it still is! Most would know by now that the car is actually based on the Daihatsu Boon and Toyota Passo, but had undergone several modifications before being qualified as a local product.

Okay then, the recipe for its success lays in its price and package being offered, in short, value for money. Its build quality is at par with some Japanese cars and many would give it the thumb up for its after sales service. So, why would many consider buying the Honda Jazz which carries a price tag of two Myvi or even a Korean made hatchback which cost 10 – 20 thousand Ringgit more? Well, to each his own, right?
